What is "Semper Varia"?
Loosely translated, Semper Varia means "Always Changing." It comes from an infamous quote in the Aeneid: Semper varia mutander femina; a snide comment that hero Aeneas delivers about Dido, Queen of Carthage, on whose shore he had just wrecked his ship. The concept of 'always changing' stuck with me - the single constant in all people, policy, nature, or business. The growing ecosystem of technologies, business models, and policies in distributed energy creates an ever-changing market, where success requires the right information, tools, and people ready to change with it.
